Melissa "Mels" Taylor

Melissa Taylor is the heartbeat of Polverini and Wiater, PLLC, serving as both our Office Manager and Paralegal. Her path to the legal field is unique, but it’s exactly that diverse experience that makes her such a vital part of our team.

A graduate of Bridgeport High School in Ohio, Melissa went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ohio University. After graduation, she worked in university administration before stepping into public service as the Assistant to the West Virginia Governor’s Northern Regional Highway Safety Program. Her strong leadership and organizational skills quickly led to her promotion as Program Coordinator.

In 2022, Melissa joined our firm—then Polverini and Norman, PLLC—as Office Manager. Since then, her role has expanded to include paralegal work, where her attention to detail, efficiency, and compassion for clients have made her an indispensable member of our team.

Melissa keeps the firm running smoothly behind the scenes while also supporting our attorneys and clients directly. Whether it’s managing the day-to-day operations of the office, preparing case files, or guiding clients through the process with care, Melissa ensures that every detail is handled with professionalism and dedication.

Her journey from education and public service to the legal field reflects her commitment to helping people and making a difference in her community—a commitment she brings to work every single day.
